"I was especially surprised at my younger daughter's performance on stage. She presented herself in a confident, prepared manner yet seemed quite natural to be in front of an audience. This was a great opportunity for children to explore theatre arts and form friendships outside their circles - Thank you Drama Club!"

How We Directly Support Achievement

In School and in Community Activities

School and our Drama Program
Using specially designed activities and performances that are fun and engaging, our YOUTH and TEEN classes give any young person:
  • the chance to successfully express themselves in a safe and supportive environment; this leads to better self-expression at school
  • an understanding of group norms, body language, and personal presence so he/she can work well in groups, make friends and be a leader to others
  • the skills to give good class presentations and improve their public speaking
  • the confidence to take the risks associated with trying new things, going out for teams or clubs, and meeting new people
  • practice in the skills vital to successful achievement in class and on provincial tests (i.e. making inferences)
Our KEEN Learning Project (http://www.keenforlearning.org/) has helped thousands of teachers and students in the GTA use drama to enhance their passion for achievement in learning.
